In-Cylinder Pressure Transducer Diagnostics
Today, in-cylinder pressure transducers are changing how technicians evaluate the mechanical condition of an engine. The instructor will discuss how to interpret cranking and running compression patterns captured by an in-cylinder pressure transducer.

We will study both good and bad. We will analyze leaking valves, tight valves, incorrect cam timing, and much more. We will also discuss the use of overlays for detailed pattern analysis.

The attending technician will learn how to analyze and interpret these information-filled patterns. The use of these techniques can save a tremendous amount of diagnostic time and teardown time. A detailed handout will be provided.
